Privacy Policy

1. Information we handle

• Local reading data: display name, bio, avatar theme, saved stories, chapter progress, unlocked chapter references, reader theme, and text size. These items are stored in your browser or installed PWA storage.
• Wallet data: a randomly generated installation identifier, an anonymous wallet session, Coin balance, and Coin transaction history. When server checkout is enabled, this data may be sent to our API so purchases and chapter spending can be verified.
• Purchase data: Coin package, PayPay order number, and payment status when browser checkout is enabled. We do not receive your full card or bank account details.
• Technical data: request time, IP address, browser or device information, and error or security logs that may be produced by our hosting and API systems.
• Support data: the information you choose to include when contacting support.

2. How we use information

We use this information to provide the reader, keep your local preferences, create and secure an anonymous wallet, display and spend Coins, verify purchases, prevent duplicate credits or misuse, restore eligible purchase results, answer support requests, and maintain service security.

3. Payments and service providers

When enabled, PayPay checkout is handled by PayPay and our payment backend in the browser. PayPay handles payment details under its own privacy terms and sends us the order information needed for verification. Hosting and database providers process only the data needed to operate CHH Novel.

4. Storage and retention

Local reading and profile data remains on the device until you clear it, reset the browser, or remove the site's storage. Server wallet and purchase records are retained while needed to provide Coins, prevent duplicate credits, resolve payment disputes, meet tax or accounting duties, and protect the service. Security backups and legally required transaction records may remain for a limited period after a deletion request.

5. Sharing and sale

We share data only with payment, hosting, database, security, and support providers when needed for the purposes above or when required by law. CHH Novel does not sell personal information. The current H5/PWA does not include third-party advertising SDKs.

6. Your choices

You can edit your local profile or use Clear local data in Profile to remove the local profile, library, and reading progress. This does not erase payment records or Coins stored on the server. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of server-side data associated with an installation, contact support and include the installation details shown when support asks for them.

7. Children

CHH Novel is not directed to children under 13. Minors must use the service with a parent or guardian and obtain their permission before making a purchase. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Security and international processing

We use access controls, encrypted network connections, purchase verification, and reasonable operational safeguards. No online system is completely secure. Depending on where you live and where the service is hosted, information may be processed outside your country under applicable safeguards.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when a new version is published. Privacy questions and deletion requests can be sent to support@chhnovel.com.
